About the Lesson
Business workflows and processes often require weaving dependencies between various actions/steps. For example when adding a new contact into your CRM application, the action to add the contact can be dependent on a condition e.g. the contact or customer must not already exist or account creation date must be earlier than a specific date. These actions, which will only occur if a condition is met, are called Conditional Actions.
Conditional Actions in a recipe provide the ability to define actions that are predicated on one or more conditions, thereby giving you the flexibility to create sub-flows that branch out based on the outcome of a condition. In this lesson you will learn how to set a condition and take actions based on the outcome of the condition in order to create or update a new customer, thereby eliminating the possibility of duplicate leads.
